Quality Control Assistant

Role Overview: You will be responsible for supporting the inspection and testing of precision and critical rubber/elastomer parts at Revata Engineering. This role requires meticulous visual and dimensional inspection, as well as conducting routine testing on elastomer laboratory instruments. Ideal candidates should have a keen eye for detail, patience, and a dedication to maintaining high quality standards. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct visual and dimensional inspection of incoming, in-process, and finished rubber parts according to drawings and standards. - Identify defects and deviations, segregate non-conforming parts, and accurately label them. - Utilize precision measuring instruments such as vernier, micrometer, and dial gauge for inspection purposes. - Perform routine tests on rubber compounds and products following established procedures. - Operate laboratory instruments including Mooney, Rheometer, Tensile Tester, Hardness Tester, and Specific Gravity meters. - Ensure that tests are conducted correctly and that the results obtained are reliable. - Record inspection findings and test data in specified formats. - Maintain records of raw material, in-process items, and final inspection results. - Update calibration and verification logs for quality control instruments. - Carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance of quality control and laboratory equipment. - Monitor the calibration status of instruments and support calibration activities. - Report non-conforming materials/parts to the QC Engineer/Manager and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions. Qualifications: - Diploma / ITI / Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Production / Polymer / Rubber Technology or related field. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control/inspection within the rubber, polymer, automotive, or precision components industry. - Freshers with a strong aptitude for quality control may also be considered. - Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and train a team. - Proficient in problem-solving and capable of taking prompt corrective actions. - Commitment to workplace safety, with knowledge of industrial safety norms and emergency protocols. - Physically fit to work in a factory environment, including standing, climbing, lifting, and performing in variable conditions.
