Mechanical Design Engineer

As a Design / Cad Cam Engineer at Revata Engineering, you will be responsible for developing and modifying detailed 2D/3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings for mechanical components and tools. Your role will involve assisting in new product development and continuous improvement of existing designs to enhance performance and manufacturability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure feasibility and design compliance, and conduct engineering calculations and tolerance analysis to optimize designs. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and modify detailed 2D/3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings. - Assist in new product development and continuous improvement of existing designs. - Support tool design activities and implement updates as per requirements. - Create CAD assemblies and skeleton models using defined methodologies. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure feasibility and design compliance. - Conduct engineering calculations and apply GD&T principles to optimize designs. - Maintain accurate design documentation including version control and BOMs. - Ensure alignment with quality standards, safety guidelines, and QMS requirements. - Modify or optimize existing layouts and assemblies to meet evolving product needs. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Engineering or Commerce. - 2+ years of experience in tool design or related field. - Excellent Knowledge of software like Catia, AutoCad. - Strong grasp of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Highly motivated and goal-oriented. - Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-changing environment. Nice to Have: - Experience in rubber / elastomer tool and mold design.
