Job Description

Mechanical & Piping Design

Design and develop
piping systems
for water, wastewater, sludge, chemical, air, and utility services.
Prepare and review
P&IDs, piping layouts, GA drawings, isometrics, and support drawings
.
Select appropriate
pipe materials
(CS, SS, DI, HDPE, UPVC, GRP) and components.
Design piping connected to
mechanical equipment
such as:
Pumps (centrifugal, vertical turbine, submersible)
Blowers, compressors
Filters, clarifiers, aeration systems
Tanks and pressure vessels
Ensure proper
pump suction/discharge piping design
and alignment.

Engineering Calculations & Standards

Perform
hydraulic calculations
, line sizing, velocity, and pressure drop calculations.
Ensure designs comply with
AWWA, ASME, ISO, ASTM, IS codes
, and project specifications.
Provide inputs for
stress analysis
where applicable.

Coordination & Reviews

Coordinate closely with
Process, Civil, Electrical, and Instrumentation
teams.
Participate in
design reviews, HAZOP, and model reviews
.
Review vendor drawings and integrate package equipment into the piping layout.

Construction & Site Support

Prepare
material take-offs (MTO/BOQ)
.
Support procurement through
technical bid evaluations
.
Provide
site engineering support
during erection, testing, and commissioning.
Review and update
as-built drawings
.
