Role Description – QC Engineer (PV Permit Designing)

Permit QC Engineer

• Your day-to-day work will focus on checking design packages, ensuring compliance with NEC codes and AHJ requirements, and collaborating with the design team to fix issues quickly and efficiently. This role is full-time and remote, giving you the flexibility to contribute from anywhere while helping us maintain the highest standards in solar design.

Key Responsibilities

• Review PV permit design packages (structural, electrical, and site plans) for completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, local building codes, utility, and AHJ requirements.
• Identify design errors and provide corrective feedback to the design team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design issues and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Maintain documentation and reporting of QC checks for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Relevant Engineering field.

• 1–2 years of experience

  in PV permit design or QC within the

  U.S. solar industry

• Strong understanding of NEC codes, AHJ requirements, and solar PV design standards.
• Proficiency in design review tools (AutoCAD, Helioscope, or similar).
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
