Job Description

Job Overview:

Seeking an experienced Quality and Food Safety Management Specialist to support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Food Safety System Certification (FSSC 22000) for our client in Jammu. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of QMS frameworks (ISO 9001) and food safety standards (FSSC 22000/ISO 22000), capable of delivering compliance, risk management, and audit readiness across food production or processing operations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing, documenting, and implementing QMS and FSSC 22000 food safety management procedures.
  • Conduct internal audits and support external certification audits for ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000 compliance.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to quality and food safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
  • Support supplier assessments, customer audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain detailed records of quality and safety management activities, including non-conformities and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
  • Provide training and awareness programs on QMS and FSSC requirements to staff.
  • Assist in the preparation of food safety plans, hazard analysis, and risk assessments.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Quality Management, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in QMS (ISO 9001) and FSSC 22000 certification implementation and audits.
  • Strong understanding of food safety laws, global food safety initiatives, and quality standards.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently manage projects.
  • Certification as a Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 and/or FSSC 22000 is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and other prerequisite programs related to food safety.


Preferred:
  • Experience working in food manufacturing or processing environments.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements specific to India and global markets.
  • Proficiency with audit management software and quality management tools.
