About the role An Automation Test Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software through automated testing processes. Location: Hyderabad Mode of Interview: In-person Date of Interview: 14th Jun 2025 In this role, you will: Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, and Cucumber. Implement and maintain BDD frameworks to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and create detailed test plans. Identify, document, and track bugs and issues through to resolution. Perform regression testing to ensure new features do not negatively impact existing functionality. Continuously improve test processes and frameworks to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Work model: Hybrid We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in city, state. What you need to have to be considered Programming Languages: Proficiency in languages like Java, Python, or C# Testing Tools: Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, QTP, or Appium Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Communication Skills: Effective communication with team members and stakeholders Collaboration: Ability to work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders Tools and Technologies: Selenium WebDriver: For browser automation testing JUnit/TestNG: For unit testing and test management CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with tools like Jenkins or Travis CI for continuous integration and deployment These will help you stand out Experience with other test automation tools and frameworks.
