Job Description

As an Automation Test Engineer at our Coimbatore location, you play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software through automated testing processes. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, and Cucumber. - Implementing and maintaining BDD frameworks to ensure comprehensive test coverage. - Collaborating with development and product teams to understand requirements and create detailed test plans. - Identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs and issues through to resolution. - Performing regression testing to ensure new features do not negatively impact existing functionality. - Continuously improving test processes and frameworks to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. To be considered for this role, you need to have: - Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or C# - Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, QTP, or Appium - Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail - Effective communication skills with team members and stakeholders - Ability to work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders Tools and Technologies you will work with include: - Selenium WebDriver for browser automation testing - JUnit/TestNG for unit testing and test management - Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Travis CI for continuous integration and deployment Additionally, the following experiences will help you stand out: - Experience with other test automation tools and frameworks - Knowledge of RESTful APIs and API testing - ISTQB certification or similar We believe in hybrid work and provide flexibility wherever possible. This role requires you to work 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in the city.
