Department: Quality Control

Reporting To: QC Engineer / QC In-Charge

Job Purpose

To carry out inspection of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products,

ensuring compliance with quality standards and minimizing defects.

Key Responsibilities

 Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished products as per

inspection checklists.

 Use precision measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height

Gauges, and gauges.

 Identify, record, and report non-conformities to the QC Engineer / In-Charge.

 Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality issues.

 Ensure proper calibration and handling of inspection instruments.

 Follow sampling plans and inspection standards defined by the QC department.

 Maintain inspection records and prepare daily inspection reports.

 Coordinate with production teams to prevent recurrence of quality issues.

 Support internal and external quality audits with inspection data and records.

 Maintain housekeeping and safety standards in inspection areas.

Job Specification (JS) – QC Inspector

Education & Qualifications

 ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production Engineering or related field.

 Training in quality inspection techniques preferred.

Experience

 1–3 years of experience in quality inspection in manufacturing / machining / foundry

industry.

 Hands-on experience with measuring instruments and gauges.

 Basic knowledge of ISO / IATF quality standards preferred.

Skills & Competencies

 Ability to use precision measuring instruments and gauges accurately.

 Knowledge of inspection techniques and defect identification.

 Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings.

 Good observation, reporting, and documentation skills.

 Basic computer skills for report preparation.

 Teamwork and discipline on the shop floor.
