Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a QC Engineer (Civil) at ASBL, located in Hyderabad. The QC Engineer will be responsible for implementing and overseeing quality control processes to ensure that construction materials and workmanship meet project specifications and standards. Daily tasks include conducting inspections, preparing quality reports, identifying areas for improvement, and liaising with project managers and other team members to discuss quality issues and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1.     Mivan Shuttering & Concrete Quality

o  Inspect Mivan shuttering alignment, plumb, and level before concreting.

o  Check support stability to avoid bulging or displacement during pouring.

o  Monitor concreting process, vibration, and curing methods for quality finishing.

o  Inspect de-shuttered surfaces for honeycombs, cracks, or bulges and ensure corrective action.

2.     Material Quality Verification

o  Approve cement, sand, aggregates, admixtures, and steel before use.

o  Conduct slump tests, cube casting, and compressive strength checks.

o  Ensure material storage is as per standards to prevent contamination.

3.     Reinforcement & Embedded Items

o  Verify rebar diameter, spacing, cover blocks, and lap lengths as per drawings.

o  Check MEP sleeves, conduits, and embedded fittings before concrete pouring.

4.     Documentation & Reporting

o  Maintain pour cards, cube test results, and inspection checklists.

o  Prepare daily quality reports and share with Project Manager / QC Head.

o  Raise and follow up on NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) if required.

5.     Coordination & Compliance

o  Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and lab technicians for smooth execution.

o  Assist during consultant/client inspections and close punch points.

o  Ensure all work is as per IS Codes, approved drawings, and project specifications.

Key Skills Required

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Quality Control and Quality Assurance skills
• 2 - 5 years hands-on experience in Mivan high-rise residential projects.
• Familiarity with IS codes, concrete testing, and formwork standards.
• Strong coordination and documentation skills.
• Analytical Skills and Quality Management experience
• Experience with quality standards and regulations in the construction industry
