QA/SDET - Automation & Manual Testing (Web&Mobile)

Job Title:

QA / SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.

2. Perform manual testing across platforms and devices to validate new features and bug fixes.

3. Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to understand feature requirements and create comprehensive test plans.

4. Develop and implement functional, regression, security, and performance testing strategies.

5. Conduct security testing and monitor breaches, ensuring applications adhere to best practices for secure coding and data protection.

6. Utilize tools such as Cypress, Jest, Mocha, Selenium, Appium, and Playwright for automated testing.

7. Test mobile apps using real devices and emulators with tools like Appium, Firebase Test Lab, or BrowserStack.

8. Perform API testing using tools like Postman, Insomnia, and JMeter.

9. Ensure high test coverage and participate in code reviews to uphold software quality.

10. Collaborate with DevOps to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.

11. Document test cases, execution results, and defects; provide actionable feedback to engineering teams.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in both manual and automated testing of web and mobile applications.

2. Strong knowledge of JavaScript-based testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Cypress, Playwright).

3. Experience with Appium or equivalent tools for mobile testing (iOS & Android).

4. Understanding of security auditing, including penetration testing basics and monitoring application breaches.

5. Experience in performance testing and monitoring tools like JMeter, Lighthouse, etc.

6. Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, Swagger, etc.).

7. Understanding of CI/CD processes and integration of tests into pipelines.

8. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

9. Solid grasp of SDLC, testing methodologies, and defect lifecycle.

10. Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across teams.
