The candidate must possess a deep understanding of persistent online worlds, live environments, and the complexities of multiplayer systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the game’s stability, quality, and player satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Test MMORPG game features such as quests, combat systems, skill trees, guilds, in-game economy, and multiplayer interactions. Execute test plans, perform ad-hoc and exploratory testing, and verify bug fixes. Perform regression, smoke, and sanity testing for each release build and live patch. Conduct end-to-end testing in multiplayer and online environments to validate sync, lag, disconnection, and matchmaking issues. Log, track, and validate defects using JIRA or other bug tracking tools with detailed reproduction steps. Collaborate with development, design, and live operations teams to troubleshoot and isolate critical issues. Assist in updating test plans, writing test cases, and maintaining documentation throughout the testing lifecycle. Participate in game playthroughs, test different player classes, factions, gear types, and content loops to assess balancing and design gaps. Required Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of experience in QA testing, preferably with a focus on multiplayer or MMORPG titles. Strong knowledge of MMORPG systems including PvE/PvP, world events, crafting, trading, and character progression. Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools like JIRA, and test case tools like TestRail. Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and replicate bugs in a networked environment. Good analytical and communication skills; ability to clearly document and report findings. Flexibility to test under shifting priorities and during live server events and patch releases. Passion for gaming, particularly online multiplayer or MMORPG genres. Preferred Qualifications: Experience testing on PC and console platforms (PS4, PS5, Xbox). Familiarity with backend service testing or game telemetry review. Basic understanding of automation tools or scripting is a plus. Exposure to LiveOps models or seasonal update testing.
