QA senior

Role Overview

As a Senior QA Engineer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of our products. You’ll design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks while also handling manual testing where necessary.

You’ll work closely with developers and product managers to deliver reliable and bug-free releases in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and API testing.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to identify test cases early in the development cycle.
• Create and manage test plans, test cases, and test data.
• Conduct functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.
• Track and report bugs using tools like Jira, Notion, or Linear.
• Implement and improve CI/CD testing pipelines.
• Drive QA best practices and help set up a scalable testing infrastructure.
• Take ownership of product quality and contribute to faster, more reliable releases.

Requirements

• 2–2.5 years of experience as a QA Engineer (manual + automation).
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing processes, and SDLC.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Pytest, or similar.
• Experience testing REST APIs using Postman, Newman, or automation frameworks.
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools and version control systems (Git).
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a startup environment with minimal supervision.

Good to Have

• Experience with performance testing (JMeter, k6).
• Knowledge of database testing (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Interest in building QA processes from scratch and mentoring junior team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
