Job Description

Heres how youll contribute:

You will be contributing to the role by:

Playing the role of Testing specialist for the assigned projects
Providing technology consulting to customers and internal project teams

Key responsibilities

Quality strategy and planning:
Define and own the overarching QA strategy, approach, and test plans for projects. Ensure testing activities align with the projects goals, technical requirements, and overall business objectives.
Delivery management:
Oversee the end-to-end QA process, from requirements analysis to final delivery. Track test execution progress, manage testing milestones, and provide regular status reports to project managers and other stakeholders.
Team leadership and mentorship:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers. This includes assigning tasks, reviewing test documentation, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, and coaching team members on quality objectives.
Defect management:
Act as the projects defect manager, overseeing the bug lifecycle from discovery to resolution. This includes prioritizing defects, holding defect review meetings with developers, and escalating issues as needed.
Risk management:
Identify and mitigate quality-related risks early in the software development lifecycle. Implement risk-based testing principles to ensure that critical paths and major functionalities are prioritized.
Process improvement:
Champion continuous improvement of quality assurance processes, practices, and tools. Conduct regular retrospectives to identify inefficiencies and drive enhancements to improve overall quality and delivery velocity.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, developers, and business analysts, to ensure a shared understanding of quality requirements. The lead must bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Automation strategy:
Develop and drive the test automation strategy. Oversee the creation and maintece of automated testing frameworks and ensure they are integrated into continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Mandatory Experience:

8+ years of experience in Automation (Selenium, Core JAVA API)
Must have knowledge on JAVAscript/ Playwright / SCafe / Cypress / Typescript
Must have developed at least 2-3 automation frameworks independently
At least 5 years of hands on experience in API UI automation by using Selenium, Java, TestNg, Rest Assured.
Good to have working experience in BDD framework (Cucumber/jbehave/Maven)
Must have selenium web driver hands on experience
Should have worked on tools like Jenkins, Jira
Strong in SQL
Proven track record of test projects (end-to-end testing experience)
Proficiency in all testing stages, analysis of testing requirements, planning of a test, designing test scenarios, execution, defect management
Experience in automated testing, both designing testing scenarios, implementing automation scripts and their execution, knowledge of test automation frameworks, e g Selenium
Usage of test management/defect management tools and frameworks (JIRA)
Experience with Scrum/Agile methodology
