QA Lead Engineer

As a skilled Automation Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of automated test suites for both web and mobile applications, aligning them with product specifications. You will take the lead in designing and implementing these test suites to ensure the reliability and functionality of the applications. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the execution of both automated and manual tests, conducting detailed analysis on any test failures, and collaborating with developers to swiftly address and resolve issues. You will be instrumental in building and enhancing automation frameworks and environments using a range of tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium, and BrowserStack. In addition to maintaining the automation infrastructure, you will continuously explore new tools and modules to expand automation capabilities, ensuring that evolving QA needs are met effectively. You will also design and implement cloud-native test strategies across AWS, GCP, and Azure to establish scalable and reliable testing environments. Your role will extend to mentoring and coaching automation engineers, conducting code and test plan reviews, and enforcing best practices in test automation and QA processes. You will embed automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, and GitHub Actions, while defining quality gates and upholding reporting standards. To qualify for this position, you should possess a technical expertise of 4-5 years hands-on experience in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or C#. Additionally, you should have 3-4 years of experience in designing and executing Playwright-based automated tests, along with 1-2 years of working with cloud platforms for test automation environments. A strong command of software QA methodologies, proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub, or GitLab, and proven skills in web and mobile automation testing are essential requirements. Troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities are also key attributes along with excellent communication and collaboration skills within Agile/Scrum teams. Proficiency in Python or Java would be a bonus, and preferred qualifications include experience in architecting large-scale automation frameworks, familiarity with performance, load, or security testing tools, and knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Possessing an ISTQB or equivalent QA certification would be an added advantage.
