Role Overview

The QA Engineer will be responsible for validating product functionality, identifying defects, designing test cases, and ensuring releases are delivered with exceptional quality. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, hands-on experience in manual and automation testing, and a deep understanding of QA processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, usability, and exploratory testing.
  • Conduct manual testing for mobile applications (Android & iOS) and web platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and UI/UX teams to ensure smooth release cycles.
  • Log defects clearly and track them to closure using tools like JIRA or similar.
  • Participate in requirement reviews and provide QA insights to strengthen product quality.
  • Execute automation scripts (if applicable) and contribute to building automation frameworks.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality product releases.

Required Skill Set

  • Strong experience in manual testing, especially mobile app testing.
  • Understanding of SDLC, STLC, bug lifecycle, and QA documentation.
  • Experience with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, etc.
  • Familiarity with Android/iOS mobile testing tools and emulators.
  • Knowledge of REST API testing using tools like Postman (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of automation using Selenium, Appium, or similar (added advantage).
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in testing fintech or mobile-based financial applications.
  • Knowledge of SQL for data validation.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines.
