About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing frameworks, performance testing, and hands-on experience in Java-based test development. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products through automated functional, regression, and performance testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automation test scripts using Java and Selenium.
• Implement and execute API testing using Rest Assured and Postman.
• Design and execute functional, regression, smoke, and performance tests.
• Collaborate with development teams, product managers, and QA teams to ensure test coverage and quality assurance.
• Build and maintain Cucumber BDD frameworks and TestNG test suites.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries (including joins) to validate backend data.
• Analyze test results, detect bugs, and track them to resolution.
• Continuously improve test processes, frameworks, and coverage.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to QA best practices.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong coding/programming skills in Java.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• API Testing experience with Rest Assured and Postman.
• Solid understanding and practical use of SQL, including complex joins.
• Experience with Cucumber, TestNG, and Maven/Gradle.
• Experience in Performance Testing tools like JMeter (preferred) or similar.
• Deep understanding of SDLC/STLC, defect life cycle, and agile methodologies.
• Proficient in testing methodologies: functional, regression, smoke, and performance testing.

Nice to Have (Optional):

• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Bamboo.
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker.
• Experience with test reporting tools such as Allure or Extent Reports.
