Python Django Developer

About the Role

UpCodo Digital is looking for an experienced Python Django Developer who can architect and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong backend development skills with Django and Django REST Framework, along with a good understanding of frontend development. Experience in React.js will be an added advantage.

You will be working on diverse projects including SaaS platforms, custom business solutions, dashboards, workflows, and API-driven applications. This role requires someone who can write clean code, solve complex problems, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and scale backend systems using Python, Django, and DRF
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate with external systems
• Write clean, reusable, and testable code following best practices
• Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control
• Work with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB
• Optimize applications for performance, security, and scalability
• Integrate frontend components (React.js) with backend APIs
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing applications
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, frontend developers, and QA teams
• Participate in architecture decisions, sprint planning, and code reviews

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–8 years of hands-on experience with Python and Django
• Strong knowledge of Django REST Framework (DRF)
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Good understanding of API design, microservices, and backend architecture
• Knowledge of asynchronous tasks (Celery/Redis) is a plus
• Solid understanding of Git, version control, and CI/CD workflows
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS/Firebase/DigitalOcean)
• Ability to write optimized queries and handle database migrations
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and ability to work in an Agile environment

Bonus Skills (Good to Have)

• Hands-on experience with React.js, Next.js, or other frontend frameworks
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or DevOps tools
• Familiarity with GraphQL
• Experience building SaaS or enterprise-level applications

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,400,000.00 per year
