Python API Developer (Django, AWS, Backend Architecture)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Python API Developer with expertise in Django, AWS, backend architecture, GitHub, Node.js, CI/CD, and databases. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in designing and implementing robust API solutions, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.

Responsibilities:

• API Development:
• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based APIs using the Django framework.
• Ensure the APIs are scalable, high-performing, and follow best coding practices.
• AWS Integration:
• Implement AWS server solutions, leveraging services such as EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, and others.
• Optimize server architecture for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
• Backend Architecture:
• Contribute to the overall backend architecture, ensuring it aligns with the organization's goals for scalability and flexibility.
• Database Management:
• Work with various databases, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and overall database performance.
• Implement and optimize database schemas for API data storage.
• Version Control and Collaboration:
• Use Git and GitHub for version control, ensuring collaborative development with the team.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and other stakeholders to integrate API solutions seamlessly.
• Node.js Integration:
• Integrate and work with Node.js applications as needed for specific functionalities.
• Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and automated deployment processes.
• Monitor and improve code deployment strategies for efficiency and reliability.
• Code Reviews and Quality Assurance:
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Implement and maintain testing strategies to ensure the reliability of APIs.

This role involves relocation to Delhi to work from office.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Python API Developer with a strong focus on Django.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services and server architecture.
• Solid understanding of backend architecture principles.
• Proficiency in Node.js for specific integration needs.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies.
• Strong database management skills, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub for version control.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with front-end technologies for API integration.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
• Experience with serverless computing and AWS Lambda.
• Understanding of security best practices for APIs.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven 5-8 yrs+ work experience as a Python API Developer, preferably in a cloud environment.
