Job Description

  • Researching and evaluating potential vendors and suppliers.
  • Requesting quotes and comparing prices for maximum ROI.
  • Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers.
  • Tracking incoming inventory, delivery arrival time, and note actual arrival time.
  • Organizing and updating database of suppliers, delivery times, invoices, and quantity of supplies.
  • Working with team members and Procurement Manager to complete duties as needed.
  • Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Managing logistical considerations in product sourcing and delivery.
  • Performing all procurement-related administrative tasks.
  • Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Preparing reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
  • Monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed.
  • Coordinating deliveries with suppliers and liaising with internal teams to ensure timely distribution.
  • Maintaining records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments.
  • Ensuring legal and ethical compliance in all procurement processes.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in engineering (preferably Polymer technology)
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in handling Plastics RM, Adhesives and Chemicals.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing, warehousing, and distribution procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Knowledge of market research, data analysis, and purchasing best practices.
  • Must be able to maintain professionalism and a positive service attitude always.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulations in purchasing.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
