Purchasing Executive

You will be reporting to the Manager - Engineering Procurement and will be based in Mumbai, assisting the Head Purchase in various purchase-related activities. Your primary job purpose will be to support in purchase activities, ensure timely material procurement, and maintain purchase documents efficiently. As a Procurement Sr Executive, your responsibilities will include: - Handling procurement of project and engineering items - Collecting quotations from vendors based on specifications and performance requirements - Coordinating with user departments and suppliers for finalizing quantity and quality - Analyzing and comparing received quotations before and after negotiation - Preparing and issuing Purchase Orders in SAP after necessary approvals - Tracking and expediting supply, managing inspections, and ensuring timely delivery to the site - Following up with vendors for material procurement - Coordinating supplier-site activities for handling, storage, installation, and commissioning - Managing supplier relations and evaluating vendors to meet company goals - Coordinating with the Stores department for inventory and stock control - Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation - Supporting the Purchase Head by providing necessary data and assisting the costing department as required To qualify for this role, you should have: - Minimum BTech/BE in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering - Additional certification/degree in Purchasing, Material Management, or Supply Chain Management preferred - 6 to 7 years of experience in Projects and Engineering Procurement - Experience in the Chemical Industry would be advantageous - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP-MM module - Deep understanding of inventory and supply chain management - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong critical thinking and negotiation abilities - Effective planning and organizational skills - Ability to work independently, travel to meet suppliers, and work overtime when necessary.,
