Role Overview: As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective supply of materials and services. Your role will involve conducting market research to identify potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, monitoring inventory levels, analyzing procurement budgets, ensuring quality standards, and coordinating with project teams. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective supply of materials and services. - Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities and reliability. - Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. - Negotiate terms and conditions, pricing, and contracts with vendors. - Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock of critical materials. - Analyze and manage procurement budgets and expenditures. - Ensure that all purchased materials meet required quality standards and specifications. - Coordinate with project managers and engineering teams to understand material requirements for various projects. - Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. - Proven experience in procurement, vendor management, and inventory control. - Strong negotiation and communication skills. - Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Knowledge of quality assurance processes and compliance regulations. - Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities.
