Role & responsibilities

Purchasing (Procurement)

• Supplier Management:

  Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers.

• Sourcing & Costing:

  Research market trends, compare vendor prices, analyze total cost, and recommend cost-effective options.

• Purchase Order Management:

  Create, process, and track purchase orders (POs) for materials, equipment, and services.

• Quality Control:

  Ensure purchased items meet established quality standards and specifications.

Logistics (Supply Chain)

• Inventory Control:

  Manage stock levels, forecast needs, and ensure continuous material supply for production.

• Transportation & Delivery:

  Coordinate shipments, arrange freight, track deliveries, and resolve shipping errors.

• Documentation:

  Prepare shipping paperwork (international/domestic) and review freight invoices.

• Asset/Fleet Management:

  Oversee vehicle/equipment maintenance, fuel usage, and asset tracking (depending on scope).

Cross-Functional & Reporting

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with Production, Quality, Finance, and Engineering to align purchasing/logistics with overall goals.

• Reporting:

  Generate reports (MIS, stock, cost analysis) and maintain accurate records/databases.

• Process Improvement:

  Look for ways to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and adhere to ethical procedures.

Key Skills

• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Excellent planning, organization, and communication.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Adaptability and ability to work under tight deadlines.
