Purchase Manager / ASST Manager

- I. Role & responsibilities

- Entire purchase activities of the organization related to Raw Materials. - Indirect Material Capex & Opex requirements of the plant operation i.e. Mechanical Spares, Electricals Spares, Instrumentation, RMHS spares, AMC, Plant maintenance, Consumables, Services. - Global sourcing & procurement of Direct materials & Bulk Production - Material, Indirect materials, Capital Equipment & Opex Materials (related to Mechanical, Electrical & Automation, E & I, EHS, and RMHS) - Vendor Evaluation & Commercial negotiations and Price negotiation, - Supplier selection & annual rate contracting of the capital equipment and related services contracts. - Raw material optimization, vendor base consolidation and second source development. - Procurement strategies that are innovative, - Cost effective, and incorporate the growing complexities and challenges within the industry. - Build strong vendor relationships with in the industry. - To Compare proposals for price and specifications.

- To Oversee inventory levels to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory. - To Continuously review and enhance procurement processes to increase efficiency, reduce lead time.

- To Consolidating purchases & Managing daily purchasing activities like technical review of PR, prices, etc., - Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation . Capital (Asset) and Revenue material. - Commercial evaluation of offers and preparation of Statements. - Preparing cost estimates and working on budgets. - Formulating budgets for timely procurement of various critical materials.

- Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.

II. Preferred candidate profile

- Preferable from Steel Industry.

- 10+ years in procurement and SCM within the steel or heavy manufacturing sector.

- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure - Proven track record of cost savings and vendor management

- Knowledge of procurement software and systems
