Quality Head

KEY JOB ROLE:

• Experience in Integrated Steel Plant. Good knowledge in overall Quality Control Activities
• Oversees inspection and monitoring of incoming raw material in process and finished products effluents and emissions etc. as applicable.
• checks and corrections & evaluating hazards and providing mitigation measures.
• Determining in Quality of incoming Rawmaterials,in process of testing (lime filter cake, pellets DRI, hot mill roll products) Products of duplicate quality checking to ensure zero complaints.
• Design the chemistry of the product-in-making as per customer requirements.
• Attend Management Review meetings; consolidate data that accurately reports.
• key quality indicators and results of correction action efforts.
• Communicate with suppliers through the Procurement & Planning Team on
• Ensure weekly review and documented quality control inspections of the finished product.

RESPONSIBILITY:

- Lead and manage the entire quality function across production processes (raw material to finished product)

- Monitor product quality at each stage: melting, rolling, casting, heat treatment, etc.

- Develop and implement quality systems, SOPs, and inspection protocols

- Coordinate with production, R&D, and maintenance to resolve quality issues

- Handle customer complaints, quality audits, and technical documentation

- Lead internal & external audits, certifications, and compliance checks

- Supervise the operation of QC labs, testing equipment, and calibration

- Drive continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective actions

- Train and develop the QA/QC team and ensure safety in quality operations

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 10+ years Integrated steel plant as a QC Head position.
• Strong knowledge with quality standards: ISO, BIS, ASTM, Labs etc.,
• Semi-finished Products like Pellet or Filter cake.
• Implementation of QC policy and Standards.
