Purchase Manager

As a Purchase Manager at our organization in Visakhapatnam, India, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all purchasing activities and managing vendor relationships. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Developing and implementing purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings and enhance operational efficiency. - Managing the entire procurement process, from identifying needs to finalizing purchases. - Negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing. - Analyzing market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand and fulfill departmental needs. - Maintaining accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and inventory levels. - Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations. - Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors. - Implementing and managing inventory control systems to optimize stock levels. - Preparing and analyzing purchasing reports to support decision-making processes. - Continuously evaluating and improving purchasing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. - Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management. - Strong knowledge of purchasing processes and vendor management. - Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel. - Experience with inventory management systems and practices. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. - Demonstrated ability to make decisive and efficient decisions. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. - Fluency in English, both written and verbal. - Knowledge of ERP systems and e-procurement platforms (preferred). - Professional certification such as CPM or CPSM (preferred).,
