Purchase Executive (Packing & Material)

Purchase Executive / Sr. Executive – Packing & Material Procurement Location: Piplod, Surat Job Responsibilities : Manage end-to-end procurement of packaging materials and general industrial supplies (e.g corrugated boxes, tapes, shrink wraps, labels, pallets, consumables). Request and evaluate quotations, compare costs, and assess product specifications to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. Oversee import procurement processes: from Purchase Indent to Purchase Order, documentation, shipment follow-up, and clearance. Prepare and manage essential documentation such as POs, invoices, packing lists, Bills of Entry, and import declarations. Ensure timely deliveries in alignment with production and operational schedules, while verifying product quality and specification compliance. Negotiate pricing, credit terms, lead times, and after-sales support to ensure optimal purchase conditions. Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases; regularly review vendor performance and compliance. Collaborate with warehouse, quality control, production, and accounts teams to ensure seamless procurement workflows. Ensure adherence to organizational procurement policies, budget controls, and compliance with all statutory regulations and import/export norms. Required Skills : Experience in international procurement and handling customs documentation. Proficient in MS Excel, ERP systems, and professional business correspondence. Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management capabilities. Education : Graduate in any discipline (Preferred: B.Com, BBA, BSc, or related technical/commerce field) Experience : 2 to 5 years of experience in procurement of packaging materials, consumables, or industrial supplies, including import handling.
