Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

Identify, evaluate and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery timelines.
Create and process purchase orders (POs) in a timely manner.
Negotiate rates, terms, and contracts with vendors to ensure cost efficiency.
Track and monitor material delivery schedules to maintain stock levels.
Coordinate with internal departments (Production, Stores, Accounts) for requirements and approvals.
Maintain updated records of invoices, price lists, and vendor agreements.
Follow up with suppliers for timely dispatches and resolve delivery or quality issues.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and processes.
Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and better alternatives.
Assist in preparing purchase reports, cost analysis, and MIS as required.

Preferred candidate profile

Graduate in any field (B.tech preferred)
3-5 years of experience in procurement or purchase department
Experience in manufacturing / engineering industry preferred
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems (SAP / Tally / Oracle)
