Harsha Constructions Private Limited Industry: Construction & Mining Employment Type: Full-time Experience: 3–5 years preferred (especially in mining or heavy equipment-related procurement) About the Company: M/s. Harsha Constructions Private Limited, established in 2009 and based in Hyderabad, Telangana, is a leading construction and mining company executing projects across India. We specialize in overburden (OB) removal in coal mines, government building construction, and irrigation infrastructure. Job Summary: We are looking for a Purchase Engineer – Mechanical Items who will be responsible for procurement of spares, consumables, and services required for our fleet of heavy machinery (e.g., tippers, excavators, dozers, graders, etc.). The candidate will coordinate with various site teams to collect requirements and execute purchases through vendor quotations and purchase orders. Key Responsibilities: Collect indents and requirements from multiple project sites regularly. Source quotations from approved and potential vendors for mechanical items and consumables (e.g., oils, lubricants, filters, spares, etc.). Evaluate quotations based on price, quality, delivery time, and vendor reputation. Issue purchase orders after management approval. Maintain vendor database and develop alternative suppliers for critical items. Coordinate with stores and logistics to ensure timely delivery and stock updates. Track and report purchase costs, timelines, and vendor performance. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and documentation standards. Requirements: Education: Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Experience: Minimum 3 years in procurement of mechanical spares and consumables in a mining, construction, or equipment-heavy industry. Skills: Good knowledge of heavy machinery and their spare parts. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Proficient in MS Excel, email, and ERP or procurement software. Ability to handle multiple requirements across different sites. Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month Schedule: Day shift Work Location: In person
