About the Role

Purchase Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Source and procure fabrication and machining parts as per project requirements.
Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers for quality, cost, and delivery improvements.
Negotiate with vendors to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
Review technical specifications and quotations for compliance.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery.
Work closely with engineering, production, and project teams to support operations.
Conduct supplier visits and audits as needed.

Candidate Requirements

B.Tech Mechanical Engineering (3–7 years) OR Diploma Mechanical Engineering (5–9 years).
Proven experience in procurement of fabrication & machining components.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, welding inspections, and NDT.
Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
Effective communication skills and ability to take ownership.
Willingness to travel for supplier development.
