Job Title: Purchase Engineer

Overview:

As a Purchase Engineer, you will be instrumental in our procurement process, ensuring efficient acquisition of materials, goods, and services. Your role involves vendor management, negotiation, and collaboration with various departments to meet procurement needs.

Responsibilities

Vendor Management:

Identify and assess potential suppliers.

Establish and maintain relationships with reliable vendors.

Monitor and address supplier performance issues.

Sourcing and Procurement:

Source suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.

Issue accurate purchase orders in compliance with policies.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement requirements.

Cost Negotiation:

Negotiate terms for cost savings and favourable agreements.

Analyze market trends for cost optimization.

Quality Assurance:

Collaborate with quality control for compliance.

Resolve quality issues with suppliers promptly.

Inventory Management:

Collaborate with inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels.

Implement efficient inventory control measures.

Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.

Maintain accurate procurement records.

Communication and Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.

Participate in cross-functional teams for process improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

Proven procurement experience, preferably in engineering or manufacturing.

Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity with MS office, ERP and MRP module.

Understanding of engineering specifications & drawing.
