Job Description:

• Source and purchase materials required for manufacturing filter presses (e.g., PP filter plates, hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, steel, valves, PLCs, gaskets).
• Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with production schedules and inventory requirements.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels to avoid stockouts and production delays.
• Evaluate price quotes and negotiate competitive terms with suppliers.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors for mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fabricated components.
• Maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
• Conduct vendor performance assessments (quality, delivery, pricing, reliability).
• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve issues related to quality, delays, or documentation.
• Work closely with Production, Planning, Engineering, and Quality departments to ensure material specifications and timelines are met.
• Communicate changes in delivery dates or material shortages to related teams.
• Coordinate with the Quality team for incoming material inspection and rejection handling.
• Ensure all purchased items meet technical specifications and engineering drawings.
• Maintain complete procurement documentation including PO, invoices, delivery notes, test certificates, and compliance documents.
• Track shipments and ensure timely delivery to the workshop or project site.
• Update ERP or inventory management systems with accurate data.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5 plus years of experience in procurement, preferably in heavy machinery, filtration equipment, or industrial manufacturing.
• Knowledge of filter press components and fabrication processes is an advantage.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and MS Office.
