Role Description:

We are looking for a strategic, creative and resourceful communicator, who has the passion for working in the policy space.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a policy research agenda/program that addresses the needs and concerns of the client. 
• Research, develop and prepare all position papers, briefs and submissions and other policy communication tools for various programs.
• Work with various committees to bring initiatives forward.  
• Develop content for internal and external communications. 
• Ensure effective communication of all policy positions/issues to all stakeholders  
• Develop strong relations with local media. Arrange media conferences as required.. 
• Coordinate and execute events with key stakeholders.
• Engage with stakeholders on communication and policy related matters.  
• Implement and manage critical paths to ensure deadlines and standards are met. 
• Ensure brand identity is maintained through all facets of the business. 

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, or Social Work.
• 2-3 year of experience in public policy, advocacy and program management.  
• A passion for communications and public policy.  
• Must possess time, resource, and project management skills.  
• Must have strong communication skills including writing, proofreading, and speaking.  
• Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a high expectation of quality.  
• Must work well independently and under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
• Positive, motivated, manage time efficiently
• Professional and confident public speaker
