Role: Programme Leader in Public Policy with Emeritus in collaboration with NUS Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (Freelance & Online)

About Programme Leader:

The Programme Leader is a subject matter expert and shapes the student experience, guiding students through their learning journey. Candidates must have industry experience, demonstrated knowledge of the programme subject area, strong interpersonal skills, and previous experience in teaching, mentoring or any other instructional role.

This is a contractor position for 5 masterclasses.

Course Description:

The Public Policy Programme from NUS Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy offers a unique understanding of frameworks, processes, implementations, and evaluation strategies for effective policy making in the changing and challenging social, political, economic conditions. The Programme enables learning of comprehensive coverage of all aspects related to the overall cycle of Public Policy design and implementation. Also, participants will learn to implement hands-on elements like impact assessment, preparing policy memos briefs.

Responsibilities of the Programme Leader include but are not limited to:

• Conduct

  five 90-minute live online masterclasses

  on the topics mentioned below, tailored to a diverse, global participant cohort.
• Design and structure content in alignment with programme learning outcomes and participant seniority (policy practitioners and decision-makers).
• Provide

  grading and feedback for final Capstone Projects

  , evaluating application of course concepts to real-world policy challenges.
• Collaborate with the course support team for session planning, tech checks, and participant engagement.
• Address learner queries during or after sessions, as relevant.

To succeed in this role as a Programme Leader you will need:

Professional Experience

• Subject-Matter Expertise in AI, Data Science, and/or Public Policy with demonstrable experience at the intersection of technology and governance.
• Professional Experience in delivering executive education or masterclasses, preferably in public policy, AI application, or regulatory innovation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage mid-to-senior level professionals across regions and sectors.
• Global perspective and awareness of policy frameworks and AI use cases across developed and emerging markets.

Educational Background

• Advanced degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, International Relations, Law, or a closely related field from a recognized institution. A Ph.D. or equivalent is highly preferred.

Engagement Terms

• Total Sessions:

• Session Duration:

  90 minutes each (live, virtual)

• Capstone Evaluation:

  Involves grading and feedback on participant projects

• Delivery Period:

  Within the programme window starting 30th Sept on weekends preferably first half.
