Job Description

The Project Manager role in Building Management System (BMS) projects involves managing the entire project lifecycle from design to completion. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, commissioning, and handover of BMS solutions while ensuring adherence to technical, quality, and safety standards. Collaboration with Consultants, PMC, clients, engineers, internal teams, and subcontractors is crucial to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of BMS systems that meet the specified requirements. Your key responsibilities will include defining project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for BMS projects. Coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to meet project deliverables, developing detailed project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures, and conducting risk assessments to devise mitigation strategies are essential aspects of the role. You will lead a team of engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and other staff involved in BMS projects, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders. Moreover, you will work closely with design engineers to validate that the BMS design aligns with client needs and industry standards. Overseeing the procurement of BMS equipment and materials, reviewing technical specifications and drawings, and ensuring compliance with regulations and certifications for BMS systems are also part of your responsibilities. Monitoring project progress, quality standards, industry regulations, and safety protocols during installation and commissioning processes are vital aspects of the role. Additionally, you will be required to prepare daily progress reports, communicate project updates to clients/Consultants, address concerns, and provide solutions to technical or operational issues. Compliance with local and international building codes, regulations, and standards, managing project closeout processes, and conducting post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement are integral parts of the Project Manager role. To excel in this role, you must possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in managing BMS or similar building automation projects, demonstrate expertise in managing large teams and projects, and have a strong understanding of building systems, HVAC, lighting, energy management, and related technologies. Proficiency in BMS platforms such as Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Siemens, and Trane, coupled with exceptional leadership, communication, problem-solving, and deadline-oriented skills, are key requirements for this position.,
