Project Engineer

Job Purpose:

To plan, coordinate, and supervise project execution activities at the Tezpur site, ensuring timely completion of works as per project specifications, quality standards, and safety norms. The Project Engineer will act as the key link between the head office, client, and site team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Execution

• Assist in preparing work schedules, material requirements, and manpower deployment plans.
  
• Supervise day-to-day construction/installation activities to ensure adherence to drawings and specifications.
  
• Coordinate with sub-contractors, vendors, and internal teams for smooth progress.
  

2. Quality & Safety

• Ensure all works meet company and client quality standards.
  
• Conduct regular inspections and coordinate with QA/QC for material and work approvals.
  
• Implement and maintain site safety practices as per company policy.
  

3. Coordination & Communication

• Liaise with the client/consultant for site inspections, approvals, and progress reporting.
  
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and communicate issues to the Project Manager.
  
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics for timely material delivery.
  

4. Technical Support & Documentation

• Verify technical drawings and suggest modifications where required.
  
• Maintain project records, including site measurements, test reports, and work permits.
  
• Support in preparing as-built drawings and handover documentation.
  

5. Cost & Time Control

• Monitor resource utilization and highlight deviations from budget or timelines.
  
• Ensure optimal use of manpower and machinery to achieve project targets.
  

Desired Profile:

• Qualification:

  B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical / Civil / Mechanical Engineering (as per project type).

• Experience:

  36 years in site execution of infrastructure, electrical, or building projects.

• Skills:

• Strong knowledge of project management and site coordination.
  
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Project / Excel, and technical documentation.
  
• Good communication and team-handling skills.
  

• Other Requirements:

• Willingness to be stationed at Tezpur site.
  
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders under tight deadlines.
