Job Title: DCS Service Engineer – Process Automation Location: Bangalore, India Work Model: Onsite (#LI-Onsite) Business Area: Energy Industries – Process Automation Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled DCS Service Engineer to join our Process Automation business within the Energy Industries division, based in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will design and execute Distributed Control System (DCS) engineering activities for service projects of low to medium complexity. You will follow standard work instructions and comply with quality and safety standards while delivering high-quality service and support to our customers. Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to complete project assignments. Support the preparation and delivery of technical proposals and presentations for service engineering projects/programs. Identify customer requirements, analyze and document existing ("as-is") processes, and design optimized ("to-be") solutions in collaboration with business stakeholders. Develop work plans and cost estimates for assigned tasks, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of quality outputs. Perform risk and opportunity assessments, and implement actions to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities in your area of responsibility. Provide technical support during testing, installation, and commissioning activities on customer sites. Qualifications and ExperienceEducation: Full-time B.E/B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering or Electronics & Communication. Experience: 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in Process and Safety Systems, specifically in: Application Engineering HMI Engineering FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Process Control Systems / Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS). Familiarity with Safety Systems including Fire & Gas Protection Systems and Emergency Shutdown Systems. Working knowledge of international safety standards such as IEC 61508 and IEC 61511. Experience in Brownfield project scopes such as DCS migrations, modifications, retrofits, and upgrades. Proficiency in third-party communication protocols like MODBUS, OPC, etc.
