Project Engineer 800xA

This Position reports to: Senior Engineering Manager

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India.

Roles and responsibilities

• Conduct basic survey work and support automation engineering tasks including data collection, analysis, and design documentation.
• Develop and test process control applications, including programming and graphic/application engineering within DCS platforms.
• Interpret control narratives and P&IDs to ensure accurate implementation of control strategies.
• Participate in engineering workshops and contribute to discussions on design tools, processes, and project execution.
• Assist in preparing proposals and presentations for engineering projects, including bill of materials and estimated engineering hours.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to support installation, commissioning, and technical issue resolution.

Qualifications for the role

• Control Systems Experience: 3-5 years of experience with control systems. ABB systems will be an advantage.
• Must be a team player, self-motivated, quick learner, adaptable and flexible.
• Willingness to travel & work at sites as and when required.
• Willingness to travel domestic / overseas based on project need.
• Bachelor's Degree - Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & communications, Electrical Engineering.
