Project Design Lead

You are an experienced Engineering Project Design Manager responsible for leading and guiding a design team to deliver high-quality engineering solutions across various projects in industries such as Chemical, FMCG, Food, Pharma, and allied sectors. Your main responsibilities will include managing the design team in concept and detail engineering, ensuring timely completion of deliverables, overseeing the preparation of tender documents, supervising the development of Plant Layouts, P&IDs, Equipment specifications, utilities design, and piping layouts. Additionally, you will coordinate with the project team and stakeholders to ensure accurate equipment, utilities, pipe sizing, isometrics, and MTO preparation. Providing technical guidance and support to the design team to align designs with client requirements is a key aspect of your role. You will utilize engineering design software like AutoCAD, Plant3D, Revit, and others as needed to develop design deliverables. Reviewing design work for compliance with project standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices, leading troubleshooting efforts, and resolving design-related issues during the project lifecycle are also part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you should have proven experience in managing EPC projects in industries like Chemical, FMCG, Food, and Pharma. Strong knowledge of Plant Layout, P&ID, Equipment, Utilities, Pipe Sizing, Piping Layout, and Isometrics is essential. Expertise in AutoCAD, Plant3D, and Revit for engineering designs, along with strong leadership skills to guide and mentor a design team, are required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients and project stakeholders, the ability to work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment are also important.
