Job Description

About the Role You will be a Program Specialist responsible for bringing efficiency to a multi-dimensional team at Uber's IndiaSA CommOps team. Your main tasks will involve ideation, documentation, deployment, and creating efficient, scalable systems. Your ability to work closely with cross-functional regional stakeholders such as Ops, Legal, Comms, Policy, and City teams will be crucial in bringing Uber's products and strategy to life in the market. People appreciate working with you because you excel at making everyone's life easier. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in driving driver support, onboarding, retention, engagement, and maintaining the safety and quality of rides. Key Responsibilities - Manage regional support operations with a team size of 15-25, driving high levels of productivity and efficiency - Ensure resolution quality by designing and scaling internal processes across various channels and modalities - Partner with internal cross-functional stakeholders to understand customer and business challenges and translate them into clear actionables - Secure on-time project completion focusing on quality and service improvements, data analytics, people initiatives, and process standardization - Adapt, localize, and amplify initiatives from Uber's central teams to align with regional strategy - Track progress, understand dependencies, communicate status to upper management, and facilitate schedules for meetings - Proactively work to remove obstacles, manage issue escalations, and provide support to teams balancing competing priorities - Utilize analytical skills to solve problems that may arise during daily operations Qualifications Required - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional qualification (Master's degree pursuit or completion preferred) - 2-4 years of experience as a program manager / Ops associate in consumer-facing roles - Team management skills to develop strategies, deliver consistent performance, and foster a creative work environment - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in English and regional language - Proficiency in Tamil language is a must Additional Details Uber's mission is to reimagine the way the world moves for the better.
