Job Description

As a Program Specialist at Uber's IndiaSA CommOps team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficiency and productivity within a multi-dimensional team. Your responsibilities will include ideation, documentation, deployment, and the creation of efficient, scalable systems. Your ability to work closely with various cross-functional regional stakeholders such as Ops, Legal, Comms, Policy, and City teams will be essential in bringing products and strategies to life in the market. Your key responsibilities will include: - Managing regional support operations with a team size of 15-25, driving high levels of productivity and efficiency - Ensuring resolution quality by designing and scaling internal processes across various channels and modalities - Partnering with internal cross-functional stakeholders to understand customer and business challenges and translate them into clear actionables - Securing on-time project completion with a focus on quality and service improvements, data analytics, migrations, and process standardization - Adapting and localizing initiatives to align with regional strategy, taking into account local specifics and culture - Tracking progress, understanding dependencies, communicating status to upper management, and facilitating schedules for meetings - Proactively working to remove obstacles, managing issue escalations, and providing support to teams balancing competing priorities - Utilizing analytical skills to solve problems that may arise during daily operations Basic qualifications required for this role: - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional qualification - 2-4 years of experience as a program manager/Ops associate in consumer-facing roles - Team management skills to develop strategies and foster a creative work environment - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in English and regional language - Proficiency in Tamil language is a must Preferred qualifications include: - Creativity and conceptual thinking - Strong stakeholder management skills and comfort with ambiguity - Excellent organizational skills for multitasking in a fast-paced environment - Problem-solving abilities and a passion for learning new skills Uber's mission is to reimagine the way the world moves, and as part of the team, you will contribute to real-world impact and progress.
