Job Description

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience in program or project management. Experience managing the full lifecycle of programs with minimal guidance. Preferred qualifications: 5 years of experience in program management. Experience in capacity planning, communication and agile project management. Ability to partner with stakeholders to define and align prioritized objectives and key decisions throughout the program lifecycle. Ability to manage expectations through regular progress updates, and support and implement changes as needed. About The Job A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world. Responsibilities Be able to drive defining, costing, planning, tracking, and executing complex programs across engineering and cross-functional teams. Be able to program manage a collection of technical projects, drive a multi-quarter roadmap, and communicate to a complex web of executive stakeholders.
