Job Summary

The Project Management Specialist is responsible for tracking and supporting the execution of cross-functional R&D and manufacturing projects. This role involves acting as the central coordination point between functions such as quality, manufacturing, and clinical, ensuring that deliverables are met on time and within scope. The individual will support structured decision-making, mitigate resource constraints, and provide regular updates to leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the anchor point for assigned projects/programs and monitor progress against plans.
• Drive execution in collaboration with Project Leaders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across quality, manufacturing, R&D, and clinical functions.
• Facilitate structured and timely decision-making by involving relevant stakeholders.
• Track and ensure timely completion of critical project activities and milestones.
• Identify resource bottlenecks and propose actionable mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with R&D and manufacturing teams to address evolving project requirements.
• Analyze and highlight critical path activities to maintain project momentum.
• Review and validate project plans for quality, feasibility, and completeness.
• Communicate key project updates, timelines, and risks to senior management.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of cross-functional project management in pharma/biotech/R&D environment.
• Proficient in project planning, tracking tools, and reporting dashboards (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar).
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and facilitate collaborative decision-making.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication to influence and align diverse teams.
• Ability to understand technical content to facilitate project execution (R&D, manufacturing, quality, etc.).

Educational Qualification

Bachelors or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Engineering, or related field.

Experience

3 to 6 years of experience in project management within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare domain.
