About the Department of Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics at SNIoE offers programmes and courses that embody the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary nature of the university. Its academic programs provide a solid base both for further studies as well as for careers in industry. There is a great demand for mathematicians in various sectors: investment banks, insurance companies, financial institutions, engineering consultancies, medical research, bioinformatics, software, computer security, and defense. Well trained students are also sought by universities all over the world for their research programs. The Department of Mathematics offers B.Sc. (Research), and Ph.D programmes. A special feature is the integration of hands-on work and research into all our programs.

About Shiv Nadar IoE, Delhi NCR

Shiv Nadar University has recently been accorded as one of the ten private ‘Institutions of Eminence’ by the Government. In the NIRF (Government’s National Institutional Ranking Framework), the University has been the youngest institution in the 'top 100' Overall list, and its score has been rising steadily. In NIRF-2020, it ranked 56 in the 'University' category. Shiv Nadar University has been accredited with Grade ‘A’ by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council), valid for a period of five years from 26 November 2019.
