Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor (Economics) at Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS Rohini) located in New Delhi. The role includes teaching undergraduate and graduate students, conducting research, publishing scholarly articles, and contributing to curriculum development. The individual will also be responsible for mentoring students, participating in departmental meetings, and contributing to the academic community through service activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach core and elective Economics courses.

- Design and deliver student-centered, experiential learning activities.

- Guide and mentor students in academic projects, internships, and research work.

- Engage in research and contribute to publications and academic discourse.

- Participate actively in academic committees, departmental initiatives, and community outreach programs.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Economics or a related field from a recognized university

Proven experience in teaching economics

Strong research background with a record of published work in reputed journals

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and students

Experience in curriculum development and academic planning

Keen interest in mentoring and guiding students

Proficiency in using teaching tools and software

Professional experience in the industry or consulting is a plus
