Production Tailor

Into Two is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Head Tailor to lead pattern development and garment construction within our manufacturing unit. This role is responsible for creating accurate patterns, constructing high-quality samples and production garments, and guiding the tailoring team to ensure precision, consistency, and efficiency across all women’s and men’s wear categories. Key Responsibilities Pattern Making • Draft, develop, and modify patterns for women’s and men’s wear based on tech packs and design guidelines. • Ensure patterns are accurate, production-ready, and optimized for fit and construction. • Adjust patterns after fittings to achieve perfect fit and silhouette. • Maintain organized pattern libraries for ongoing and future production. Garment Construction • Construct high-quality samples and production garments using approved patterns. • Guide tailors through the construction process, ensuring correct techniques, seam finishes, and garment structure. • Oversee fittings to evaluate fit, drape, and comfort, making any necessary adjustments. Team Leadership & Workflow Management • Supervise and train the tailoring team on sewing techniques, garment finishing, and quality expectations. • Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and uphold production schedules. • Provide technical solutions for complex construction challenges. Quality Control • Perform thorough quality checks at each stage—from pattern creation to final garment. • Ensure stitching, seams, measurements, and finishes meet brand standards. • Maintain consistency across all samples and bulk production pieces. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Collaborate closely with the Technical Production Coordinator, designers, and production team. • Offer technical input on construction feasibility, pattern adjustments, and sample refinement. • Ensure samples accurately reflect design intent and are production-ready. Equipment & Workspace Management • Oversee proper maintenance of sewing machines, cutting tools, and pressing equipment. • Maintain a clean, efficient, and safe workspace for the tailoring team. Qualifications • 5+ years of tailoring experience, including pattern making and garment construction. • Strong background in both women’s and men’s wear. • Advanced knowledge of pattern drafting, fit correction, and garment assembly. • Experience supervising or mentoring tailors. • Excellent attention to detail, craftsmanship, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing or production environment. Preferred Skills • Experience with industrial sewing equipment. • Familiarity with modern garment construction techniques and global fit standards. • Strong understanding of various fabric types and their behavior. • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
