Job Description

As a Production Line Supervisor, your role involves ensuring the smooth functioning of the production line and maintaining high-quality standards. You will be responsible for various key tasks, including: - Checking kits and necessary equipment before each shift to ensure all required materials are in place. This includes managing Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and ensuring model-wise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed. - Maintaining the Material Rejection Report (MRR) and overseeing line managers to plan manpower model-wise. Conducting frequent surprise checks to monitor operations. - Allocating operators and updating the skill matrix and skill cards as needed. Taking responsibility for line leaders, sub-leaders, and operators to ensure they understand work expectations and career growth opportunities. - Implementing the 5 S methodology in the production area and training line leaders/sub-leaders on job requirements and 5 S implementation. - Arriving 30 minutes before the team, conducting meetings with Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs) and line leaders, and planning daily activities based on previous rejections and production monitoring. - Monitoring attrition rates and implementing strategies to retain trained resources. Developing retention strategies and building managerial capabilities in line leaders. - Ensuring manpower is physically fit before induction and providing necessary training to operators. Monitoring trained operators and providing feedback to line leaders. - Checking hourly output and maintaining daily performance reports. Controlling line rejections and implementing strategies to minimize them while maintaining quality standards. - Taking immediate action during breakdowns, communicating effectively with relevant departments, and ensuring timely restart of production lines. - Performing SAP confirmations daily, closing kits on time, processing rejected material through WMS/SAP, and maintaining zero Work in Progress (WIP) at the end of each month. - Implementing KAIZEN for continuous improvements and creating innovative reward systems to enhance productivity. - Leading by example with self-discipline, high performance standards, and effective communication in a common language such as English to address communication gaps. - Taking ownership of LCM & FA production line work to ensure smooth operations and high-quality output.
