Production Planning Engineer

As a Planning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in project planning and scheduling. Your responsibilities will include: - Evaluating the planning sheet based on approved drawings and corresponding sales orders. - Recommending changes or improvements in planning and design to enhance accuracy and efficiency. - Following up with the Store team for PR (Purchase Requisition) and cross-checking requirements with the BOM (Bill of Materials). - Coordinating with the Purchase team to ensure timely material availability, supporting a smooth production process. - Communicating proactively with the Production Head regarding any material delays or drawing changes that may impact timelines. - Assessing the master production plan against project completion deadlines and highlighting any discrepancies. - Monitoring and tracking material delays using the material planning sheet, escalating issues where necessary. - Preparing and managing the dispatch schedule in coordination with group companies to align with customer commitments. - Following up with subcontractors/vendors for labour-related job works to support manufacturing activities. - Liaising with Head Office for all dispatch-related processes and documentation. - Reviewing and comparing the planning sheet against store clearances to ensure material readiness. - Guiding and supporting the Production team in the Electrical Division specifically for equipment manufacturing-related tasks. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. - Master's degree if available. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and coordination abilities. - PMP Certifications or equivalent. - Knowledge of cost control and project controls integration.
