As a Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating planning sheets based on approved drawings and sales orders, recommending changes to enhance accuracy and efficiency, and coordinating with various teams to ensure timely material availability for a smooth production process. You will communicate proactively with the Production Head regarding any material delays or drawing changes that may impact timelines. Additionally, you will assess the master production plan against project completion deadlines and monitor material delays, escalating issues when necessary. Your role will also involve preparing and managing dispatch schedules in coordination with group companies, following up with subcontractors/vendors for labor-related job works, and liaising with Head Office for dispatch-related processes and documentation. You will review and compare planning sheets against store clearances to ensure material readiness and provide guidance and support to the Production team in the Electrical Division for equipment manufacturing-related tasks. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a Master's degree being advantageous. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and coordination abilities, and a minimum of 3-7 years of experience in project planning/scheduling are required. Additionally, PMP certification or equivalent and knowledge of cost control and project controls integration are preferred. As an ideal candidate for the position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Automation Engineering. Additionally, possessing certifications in PLC Programming (such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, etc.) and Industrial Automation (ISA, Rockwell Automation, etc.) will be considered a strong advantage. You are required to have a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in automation and PLC programming. Your technical skills should include a high level of proficiency in PLC programming languages, SCADA, HMI, and Distributed Control System (DCS). It is essential to have experience working with leading PLC brands like Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Schneider Electric. Your role will involve demonstrating strong troubleshooting and debugging skills within the PLC system, as well as knowledge of SCADA/HMI integration and industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, and Ethernet/IP. Familiarity with various automation tools, programming languages, and system integration processes is crucial for this role. You should also possess knowledge of industrial control systems, instrumentation, and network protocols. Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills are highly valued. Any prior experience with robotic systems or robotic arms integrated with PLCs will be a significant asset.
