Design Engineer / Draftsman (Mechanical)

You will be responsible for providing drafting and modeling support for projects and product-related activities. Your main activities and responsibilities will include: - Preparing detailed layouts in Solid Works and AutoCAD based on inputs from Designers/Analysts/Project engineers. - Creating detail drawings of assemblies, machined parts, and weldments. - Checking interfaces and tolerances to ensure compliance with customer requirements. - Developing and maintaining a library of standard parts, product models, and drawings. - Maintaining accurate records of the work performed in the company timesheet regularly. As a candidate, you should have the following qualifications and experience: - Minimum qualification of Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering. - At least 2-5 years of practical modeling and drafting experience in an Engineering/Design/R&D/Product Development environment. - Manufacturing experience with a focus on design for manufacturability is desirable. In terms of computer skills, you should be highly proficient in Solid Works (Part, Assembly, Weldment, Drawings modules), have knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, and understand manufacturing processes including machining, welding, and GD&T.
