Production / Manufacturing Engineer

Role Overview The Production / Manufacturing Engineer will work alongside and under the Engineering Manager to support the execution of manufacturing activities for parachute systems and aerospace soft-goods. The role involves production coordination, process adherence, quality support, and documentation, within an AS9100D-compliant aerospace manufacturing environment. ⸻ Key Responsibilities Production & Process Management • Support planning and execution of production activities as per approved processes • Ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, and work instructions • Assist in monitoring production efficiency, quality, and timelines Quality, QA & QC Support • Coordinate with QA/QC teams for in-process and final inspections • Support handling of non-conformances, corrective actions, and rework activities • Ensure traceability and documentation compliance as per AS9100D Documentation & Compliance • Assist in maintaining production records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation • Support Engineering Manager in audit preparation and closure of findings • Maintain organised documentation for customer and regulatory reviews Coordination & Liaison • Act as a coordination point between shop-floor teams and Engineering Manager • Support communication with Head Office (Mumbai) via email, calls, and reports • Assist during customer, government, and regulatory visits and audits Continuous Improvement • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement • Support implementation of standardisation and best practices on the shop floor ⸻ Qualification Requirements Essential • B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Textile Engineering / Production Engineering Experience • 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing or production environments • Exposure to quality systems or regulated industries preferred Desirable • Basic understanding of AS9100D / ISO 9001 systems • Experience in aerospace, defence, automotive, or technical textile manufacturing ⸻ Skills & Competencies • Strong coordination and execution skills • Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems • Good written and verbal communication • Ability to work in structured, compliance-driven environments
